What asbestos work normally needs a licensed contractor?
Most work on asbestos pipe lagging, loose insulation and sprayed coatings needs a licensed contractor. Many AIB removal jobs also need licensed work. The material, condition and removal method must be considered for the actual job.
Does every asbestos removal job need an HSE-licensed contractor?
No. Some asbestos cement, textured-coating and floor-material work can be non-licensed when the material and method meet the rules. Call us and we will explain which route applies to your job.
Are you currently licensed for asbestos removal?
Yes. Our licensed asbestos removal work is carried out under Best Environmental Solutions Ltd’s current standard HSE asbestos licence, number 152405768, valid until 10 March 2027.
Can licensed asbestos work be planned in an occupied building?
Often, yes. The asbestos work area must be kept separate from people using the building. Access, timing, nearby services and other trades are agreed before work starts.
Do I need an asbestos survey before I call?
No. If you already know asbestos is present and want it removed, call us about the job. If you have a survey, asbestos register, lab result or drawings, they can help, but they are not needed before you contact us.
Can you work with builders, property managers and facilities teams?
Yes. Licensed asbestos work can be planned around refurbishment, demolition, maintenance and building-services projects. We can discuss the order of work and when the cleared area can be handed back.
What should I tell you when I call?
Tell us what asbestos material needs to come out, where it is, the property type and what work is planned afterwards. We will ask for any other details needed to understand the job.
Do you handle licensed asbestos removal enquiries across London?
Yes. We take higher-risk and licensed asbestos removal enquiries from homes, managed buildings, plant rooms and commercial sites across all 32 London boroughs.
